Reception Location
My dream venue is Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. The top two pictures are of the undecorated reception space (Seward Johnson Center for the Arts). The bottom two are pictures from two different weddings.
Bottom Left - I really like the use of paper lanterns. I want to incorporate them into my wedding. With both the hanging lanterns and tall centerpieces, the room looks squished. Since I like tall centerpieces, I would hang the lanterns higher, and probably opt for slightly shorter arrangements.
Bottom Right - I love the wall wash in this picture. I'd use blue rather than purple though.

I fell in love with this centerpiece when I first saw it on The Knot. It's made up of willow branches, but I don't know if the white clusters are real flowers, and if so what kind. This is basically the exact centerpiece I'd like. I'm considering DIY-ing it. From what I understand it's not terribly difficult: branches, vase, stones (to weigh down the vase), and some white flowers wired to the stems.
If the cost of flowers is prohibitive, or the fake ones look crappy, I'd also consider a similar centerpiece made with only branches. In that I'd want to spray paint the branches in a metallic silver color or buy the ones that have string lights built into them.
Regarding table setting, I'd like dark purple linens with white chairs, glass plateware, and silver flatware. I'd also want to circle the base of the centerpiece with a ring of floating votives in vases of various sizes.

Cake
Image 1, unknown. Image 2 via The Knot.
Neither of us are really cake people so we're planning on getting a small 2-tier cake for cutting and pictures, and having a different dessert option.
I'm split on which cake design I like better...
